Exclusif : La mondialisation frappe encore le Québec. Les vidéos de l’émission Prenez garde aux chiens sont désormais produites au Mexique sous un nom d’emprunt : Latino Comedy Project.
Depuis plusieurs mois, la comédie québécoise Prenez garde aux chiens (PGAC) était le piment du Web, toujours prêt à écorcher la société et les acteurs politiques de la province.
À la rentrée, PGAC avait traversé les réseaux pour se retrouver dans la petite lucarne de Vox TV. Cette semaine, nous découvrions avec bonheur que PGAC fait partie de la petite liste des émissions sélectionnées par Canoë pour se retrouver sur sa WebTV.
Ces développements internationaux (le Web est mondial) devaient avoir un prix. Avec la hausse du dollar canadien et l’inflation qui grimpe au pays, la direction de PGAC Communications Inc. devait réagir vite pour conserver un ROI acceptable.
Dans la nuit de vendredi à samedi, et soutenu par une caisse de Tequila envoyée par des amis du sud, le conseil d’administration a pris sa décision : PGAC délocalise entièrement sa production au Mexique. Le nouveau studio ouvre à Playa del Carmen et les acteurs sous-payés sont déjà engagés.
Pour ne pas attirer les foudres de ses admirateurs du Québec et brouiller les pistes, PGAC a changé de nom pour s’appeler Latino Comedy Project (LPC). Le premier film de cette nouvelle production mexicaine s’appelle “The Mexican 300” (ça vous rappelle quelque chose ?).

Le mercantilisme de l’équipe de PGAC n’a pas de limite. Pour réduire encore davantage les coûts, la boutique de l’émission est également transférée dans un pays où la main-d’oeuvre reste bon marché. Quelle hypocrisie de la part d’un groupe qui dénonce soi-disant les excès de la société capitaliste.
MAJ: pour répondre à certains commentaires off line, PGAC ne va évidemment pas déménager au Mexique. Nous sommes trop heureux de les avoir au Québec, et ça devrait durer longtemps. It’s just a joke
