Le mouvement hip-hop québécois est en deuil après le décès du chanteur Joe B.G., alias Snake / Mistra Snake, le 27 juillet dernier. Jonathan Beaupré-Guilbault n’avait que 26 ans quand il a était emportait par un incendie, qui a ravagé quatre duplex de l’arrondissement Mercier Hochelaga-Maisonneuve à Montréal.
Le destin a joué un drôle de tour à Joe B.G. Encore inconnu du grand public, 
ce rappeur de talent devait deux jours après le drame monter sur la scène des Francofolies de Montréal avec son groupe partenaire Treizième Étage.
Deux heures avant l’incendie fatale, Joe faisait parvenir la maquette de son album qui sortira le 21 août 2007. Ces dernières paroles se sont ainsi transformées en épitaphe musicale.
À l’initiative de 13 Deep, la maison de disque de feu Joe B.G., et à l’occasion de la sortie de son album posthume “Prévisions Locales“, le Club Soda lui dédicace une soirée le mardi 22 août.
Lélite du hip-hop québécois sera présent pour rendre hommage au rappeur parti trop tôt. Nous retrouverons entre autres Sans Pression, Cobna, Taktika, Dramatik, Criollo, L’Assemblée, Cyrano de Montréal, Negsayo, Manu Militari et Loco Locas.
Montréal semble attirer les femmes flammes avec l’embrasement de plusieurs lieux marquants de la métropole, dont la Maison du Rôti sur Mont-Royal et L’Barouf 
sur St-Denis. La vétusté de certains bâtiments du centre-ville de Montréal laisse présager de nouveaux incidents.
L’image d’un incendie sur St-Catherine, prise en février dernier, donne une idée du travail accompli par les pompiers de la cité québécoise.
